The Feeling of Mine

So long as man's feelings of mine for his wife and son persist, it would be impossible for him to reform them, because such feelings are the impurity at the root.

When man with a possessive spirit retains so many worldly materials, he maintains a link with Asat (unreality). This grade of relationship causes him to have that grade of downfall.

Whatever things we treat as our own, we become dependent on them. A dependant person could not attain happiness, even in a dream - 'Parādhīna Sapanehu Sukhu Nāhīm'.

The world is of God, but in error man treats it as his own, that is why he gets tied down.

A body, its senses etc., never say, that we are yours and you are ours; only we treat these as ours and this acceptance is an impurity (Mamatā Mala Jari Jāi).

We do not get caught by living in a house, but get trapped by accepting the house, as ours.

As man, accepts many things as his own and for himself, so much he gets ensnared by them.

When a man treats as many things in the world as his own, he becomes subservient to them. But in accepting God as his own, he becomes free.

It is a great mistake to treat the body etc., as one's own and for 'oneself. If the mistake is eliminated, then there is no doubt, in one's receiving benediction.

If we cannot live forever with somebody, nor could it stay with us always. To treat that body as our own, one would be disappointed and shed tears, for it. So one should not treat that body as own, but offer service to the same.

One who treats a thing received, as his own, is neither good for the world, the self, nor God.

A man without the sense of mine can do much good for the world, as compared with one who has such feelings.

Neither accept anything as one's own, nor for oneself. Do not desire for anything; as treating a thing as one's own, imparts impurity to it and its desire means loss of peace.

The world is moving away every moment. The feeling of mine for the departing leads to sorrow, but such feeling for the eternal God, would result in your beatitude, forever.

My, so-called things, can never remain ever with me, then what is the difficulty in giving up their 'Myness'?

To accept the body as ours, only gives us unhappiness and to treat it as belonging to the world, grants salvation.

A thing that separates from us, does not belong to us. What separates is a thing that, in reality, is separate from us.

To accept our body as our own, is to accept the company of 'Asat' (untruth), and not to accept it as own, is association of 'Sat'.

If we accept the body as our own, then we shall notice things happening in body as happening in ourselves and see things touching the body as reaching the self.
