Good and Bad Qualities

All the evil propensities and immoral practices are made so by man, but not by God. God is truth and these are untrue. How could untruth be created by truth?

By turning away from the world, even without making effort, good qualities follow.

When a person turns toward God, then he achieves all good qualities. And when he is face to face with the world, then he acquires bad qualities.

If saddened by his own helplessness and having faith in the grace of God, whatever bad qualities man wants to remove, would be given up and whatever good qualities he wishes to acquire, he would surely gain.

Good qualities and good conduct lead to vanity, if these are accepted as within one's self. But bad qualities andconduct get strengthened, if treated as belonging to the self.
